Kwon photographed many of rap music’s biggest names, from the Wu-Tang Clan and Biggie Smalls to Jay-Z, Kanye West, Big Pun, Eminem, Big L, Ice Cube, and De La Soul. State of the Art: A New Image Sensor Using Quantum Dots Could Replace CMOS

Quantum dots are nanoparticles that are currently most commonly found in displays, but, reports PetaPixel, researchers, led by Professor Sung Kyu Park of Chung-Ang University in Korea, have developed a new type of sensor that leverages quantum dot technology. Honor Roll: Sony World Photo Pro Shortlist and Finalists

The World Photography Organization has announced the shortlist and finalists in the 2022 Sony World Photography Awards professional competition. The work ranges from photos of bushmeat hunters to shots of the attempted insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, notes CNN. The images were chosen from over 156,000 submissions, the highest number in the history of the competition, which is now in its 15th year. Dept of Ideas: Unique Photography and Design Document the Thrill of Ascending the Highest Peak in the Alps

Alberta, Canada-based Alex Buisse combines aerial photography with a systematic documentation of climbing and skiing lines in his book "Mont Blanc Lines," a uniquely designed project that blends line drawings, a history of the Mont Blanc range, action photos, and excerpts from famous climbers. The project came about in the spring of 2020, as covid lockdowns brought Buisse's other work to a screeching halt.   Read the full Story >>
