Fujifilm's X100V was the camera to have over the last couple of years (thanks to TikTok), notes Engadget. Its newly released successor, the X100 VI, features a number of improvements, including a 40.2-megapixel sensor that offers a native base ISO of 125. That improves on the previous generation camera, which, adds PetaPixel, could reach that mark only via an extended sensitivity option. There’s also 5-axis image stabilization. The X100VI can shoot 6.2K video at up to 30p, 4K at up to 60p, and 1080 Full HD at up to 240p at up to 4:2:2 10-bit in both F-Log and F-Log 2.

Prior to Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022, among European Union member states, Italy was home to one of the largest communities of people of Ukrainian origin. Photographer Chiara Negrello's grandmother Lidia Maggiolo was one of them. Negrello’s project documenting her grandmother’s Ukrainian caregiver is featured at NPR. With the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, many caregivers have decided to stay in Italy and assist their own families, financially, from afar. However, experiencing conflict at a distance causes great tensions, notes Negrello.

The New York Times has demanded that Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs cease making claims that one of the newspaper’s freelance photographers had connections to Hamas and knew about the October 7 attack on Israel in advance, notes Mediaite. The photographer, Yousef Masoud, recently won a George Polk award for photojournalism, alongside another freelancer for the Times, Samar Abu Elouf, prompting an angry response from the Israeli Foreign Ministry.
