Trending: Elon Musk Took 'X' Handle From a Photographer, Without Asking

Twitter’s rebranding of Twitter has not been faring well. In addition to the haphazard rollout, which saw parts of the site referencing the new “X” handle while other parts still asked users to “search Twitter,” the company failed to secure the intellectual property rights to the X brand, notes Reuters. The company didn’t even make an attempt to secure the @x Twitter handle owned by photographer Gene X Hwang, reports TechCrunch. Hwang, who operates the corporate photography and video company Orange Photography, says no one from Musk’s company has contacted him, but he’d be happy to talk to them.   Read the full Story >>

Sports Desk: Photographer Apologizes for Blocking Tour de France Rider

A photographer who blocked Tour de France racers Tadej Pogaar at a crucial moment has apologized. Pogaar was staging an attack on stage 14 of the race but had to abort it after coming up behind two in-race motorbikes covering the action, notes Cycling Weekly. The drivers and the passengers of the motorbikes, a photographer from L'Équipe and a cameraman from France Télévisions, were fined and suspended. The photographer, Bernard Papon, told L'Equipe that it was a "tricky situation" but that he was sorry to Pogaar for affecting the race.
