Sports Desk: After Incident, Davante Adams Clears Path Through Photographers

Las Vegas Raiders receiver Davante Adams has apparently learned from his mistakes. During the Raiders’ loss to the Kansas City Chiefs two weeks ago, Adams’ frustration with losing boiled over when he shoved a photographeras he walked off the field. He later apologizing for the incident at his locker. But, notes Fox Sports, after the Raider’s victory over the Houston Texans on Sunday, Adams made sure to clear a lane through photographers as he headed back to the locker room. Photographer Xavier Portela is known for capturing the energy of cities at night with his “Glow” series. After photographing Tokyo and Kobe, Portela has ventured to Kyoto. Industry News: UK Regulator Says Meta Must Sell Giphy

The United Kingdom’s Competition and Markets Authority has told Meta that it must sell Giphy, its search engine for GIFs, reports The Observer. The agency found that Meta’s ownership of the platform could mean less access to GIFs for other social media platforms, leading to unfair competition. The order is the latest of many antitrust lawsuits against Meta in recent years. Dept of Ideas: Depicting Inflation in Argentina

Recent inflation isn’t limited to the U.S. economy. But in Argentina, it’s a way of life. “I am 46, and for 36 years of my life I’ve had double-digit inflation; on average, that’s 80 percent inflation every year,” says  Buenos Aires-based photographer Irina Werning. Having studied economics before becoming a photographer, Werning decided to tell the story of how inflation plays out in real terms, in terms of peoples’ daily lives, in a new body of work featured at The Guardian. “Like the way the English talk about the weather, we talk about inflation,” she says.   Read the full Story >>
