After Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, American NGO worker Grant Lewandowski  made his way to Zhytomyr, a city in the country’s north west, aiming to provide aid to Ukrainian orphans. After just four days, Lewandowski and the women and children he was supporting were forced to flee. He later set about about curating a magazine (English translation: "To Hope") to capture to spirit of Ukrainian resilience. “I thought about how I could use photography to highlight, aid, and give voice to the struggle I witness every day,” he tells the British Journal of Photography.   Read the full Story >>

Tech News: Users Report Google Photos Is Corrupting Older Images

If you use Google Photos as a cloud storage provider, you should be aware that users of the service have reported seeing unwanted, water stain-like discoloration on their older image uploads. The issue, which seems to be affecting files uploaded five or more years ago, has left a selection of photos defaced with strange transparent lines and pools of messy pixels. Sports Desk: Photographer "Nails Shot" after Touchdown Collision

Sports photography can be tough: Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb made an incredible, leaping, one-handed touchdown catch to help give the Cowboys a 23-16 win over the New York Giants on Monday Night Football. Lamb then tumbled into freelance photographer Kathryn Riley on the sideline, knocking her down. "[Lamb] just asked if I was OK and offered to help me up, and I told him that I was fine," Riley told ESPN later. ”Truthfully I was embarrassed.” She added, “I took a direct foul line drive to the ribs last baseball season."   Read the full Story >>
