France’s foremost privacy regulator has ordered Clearview AI to delete all its data relating to French citizens, notes The Verge. The controversial facial recognition company, which has amassed a database of some 10 billion images by scraping selfies off the Internet so it can sell an identity-matching service to law enforcement, does not have an established base in the EU — meaning its business is open to regulatory action across the EU, adds Tech Crunch.

Jeffrey Wolin, a photographer in Chicago and professor emeritus at Indiana University, has explored America’s housing crisis by asking homeless people how they became homeless, notes BuzzFeed. Wolin has spent the last several years talking with and documenting the circumstances of people who are homeless, working with advocacy organizations, including the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless, to find participants.
