Tech News: The End of Dora Goodman is a Blow to Indie Photo Culture

Budapest, Hungary-based camera company Dora Goodman has announced the closure of its shop after years of niche production and experimental design work. Dora Goodman built a following around handmade medium format cameras, modular systems, and experimental accessories aimed at photographers who wanted to build, modify, or rethink traditional camera setups. The brand became particularly known for its wooden camera bodies, DIY inspired kits, and custom parts, notes DIY Photography, which calls the closure “another  blow to Indie photography culture.”   Read the full Story >>

Exhibitions: 'Yves Saint Laurent and Photography' at ICP

New York’s International Center of Photography has partnered with the Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris and the Fondation Pierre Bergé–Yves Saint Laurent to  bring together more than 300 iconic photographs and archival objects in the exhibition “Yves Saint Laurent and Photography,” on view at the ICP from June 11 to Sept. 28. Call for Entries: The 2026 Women Photograph Grants

Women Photograph, the non-profit advancing the work of women photographers with a private database of over 1,400 independent photographers in more than 100 countries, is now accepting submissions for its 2026 Women Photography grants. “Thanks to generous support from Leica USA, these three $10,000 grants will support photography projects — either new or in-progress,” notes the organization.
