A new study from Remitly for Freelancers has revealed gender pay gaps among freelance photographers and videographers working across different creative roles, notes PetaPixel. Remitly analyzed hourly rates from more than 58,000 freelancers across major work categories on Upwork and found that globally, women charge 19% less per hour than men. By comparison, Researchers found that women real estate photographers charge an average of 21.9% less per hour than men, earning $21.98 per hour compared to $28.14 for their male peers. The George Eastman Museum plans to host listening sessions with photographers and others about the recent changes it made to its photography policy, notes WHEC. Reservations and a $400 hourly fee are now required for professional photoshoots on the grounds. The museum says the new policies will help protect and maintain the museum gardens and grounds, as it has become a popular place for photographing special occasions. Two early photographic albums reveal many of the sites in France where Van Gogh painted, capturing places that were destroyed during the Second World War or by later modernisation.
