Contest News: The Audubon Photography Awards Expands to Chile and Colombia

For the first time, photographers and videographers from Colombia and Chile are welcome to join participants from the United States and Canada in the Audubon Photography Awards. “With new prizes in place for residents of these countries, the 2025 contest will encourage more diverse perspectives, enriching the visual narrative of bird conservation,” notes the organization. Species like the Blackburnian warbler and red knot depend on some of the world’s most vibrant and biodiverse ecosystems—and protecting them requires cooperation across international borders, adds Audubon.   Read the full Story >>

See It Now: 10 Images of 'Unknown' Bob Dylan

Timothée Chalamet has earned an Oscar nomination for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in the biopic A Complete Unknown, but the Morrison Hotel  has been featuring images of the actual Dylan made by some of the greatest photographers in rock history. The show focuses on work from Daniel Kramer created in the mid-Sixties, but includes photography by Jerry Schatzberg, Ken Regan, Don Hunstein, Lynn Goldsmith and others, notes Rolling Stone, which has a portfolio of 10 images from the show.   Read the full Story >>

Honor Roll: FotoEvidence Ukraine Winners and Finalists

Last year, the FotoEvidence Association partnered with the Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers to launch FotoEvidence Ukraine—an initiative to support Ukrainian photographers and contribute to the preservation of Ukrainian culture by creating photo books that document the Russian invasion of Ukraine since 2014. Five projects have been chosen—by Gera Artemova, Lisa Bukreyeva, Serhii Korovayny, Viacheslav Ratynskyi, and Oleksandr Rupeta.
