Stock agencies and photographers take note: A new study shows that three out of four stock stock photos of sleeping babies show infants in environments with known risk factors for sudden unexpected infant death. The study, by Baby Center, analyzed hundreds of images available on stock photography sites including Getty Images, iStock, and Shutterstock. Tech News: Tamron and Sigma Have Discontinued 40 DSLR Lenses

The era of the DSLR has drawn nearer to a close as manufactures discontinue lenses for the products. DIY Photography notes that Sigma has discontinued 18 DSLR lenses, while Tamron has done away with 22. “The death of the DSLR has long been vaunted, and even after the appearance of the RF and Z mirrorless systems, it still sees signs of life. Exhibitions: Patrick Demarchelier's Work On View at Camera Work

Patrick Demarchelier, one of the most acclaimed fashion photographers in history, passed away in March 2022. Now, for the first time since his death, his work is on view in an exhibition. The show, at the Camera Work gallery in Berlin (through Nov. 19), was conceived together with Demarchelier, who provided the gallery with what it calls “unprecedented insights” into his archive, including his iconic images of supermodels Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington.   Read the full Story >>
