Illustrators Coast to Coast
Just as New York's gallerists take a deep breath and mark their calendars for a summer slowdown, Brooklyn's arts organizations take charge. This weekend alone, artists in Red Hook/Carrol Gardens, Flatbush and Bushwick open their studio doors to the public. But if you must remain in Manhattan, the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art's annual festival brings artists from all over who will be signing advance copies of their new fall books. On the other coast, American Illustration's 25th Anniversary Timeline exhibit opens next week at Art Center's Williamson Gallery, featuring all of the original art on display for the first time. Please check websites for details.
