New York Illustration Week 2010
It's official: The Honorable Mayor Michael Bloomberg has proclaimed the second week of November Illustration Week, so mark your calendar for events starting on Thursday - and tell your clients, colleagues, and friends about it. A representative from the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs will present the mayor's Proclamation at the Society of Illustrators on Friday, November 5th at 5:00 pm. Monday, November 8, 6:30-8:30 pm: The Universe of Gary Baseman. The artist talks about his work process, the rich life he's built for his memorable characters, and how he's revolutionizing our understanding of art- yet again- by transitioning from canvas and toys into live performances that engage his audience beyond its expectations.
