Industry News: Women and Younger Photographers Are Behind Fujifilm's Meteoric Rise

Fujifilm has made news by becoming one of the top three digital camera makers in terms of overall shipments (though the situation is complicated.) What’s certain, notes PetaPixel, is that Fujifilm is selling more digital cameras now than in years past, and women and young users may be a big reason why. “Over 70% of users of the [Fujifilm] X series are in their 30s or younger, and about 40% are women,” noted Nikkei Asia recently.
