Tech News: Photoshop's AI Assistant is Making Its Way to the Desktop

Adobe has announced that it's bringing its AI "creative agent" to the desktop version of Photoshop, after it debuted on the web version of the app earlier this year, notes DP Review. While the software is still in beta, adds DPR, it shows that the company is moving forward with its plans to add an increasing number of AI-powered features into its photo editing software.The goal of the assistant is to provide a chat interface that lets you ask the software to carry out various tasks for you.    Read the full Story >>

Exhibitions: Camille Vivier's 'Sort Of' Retrospective

Through September 13, the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris features “Camille Vivier,” the first retrospective exhibition dedicated to French photographer known for surrealist fashion photography seen in magazines including  i-D and Purple—work that AnOther calls “dreamlike, theatrical, irreverent and enticing.” Says Vivier of the exhibition: “It’s a sort of retrospective, but not really because I’m not that old.” Rather, she adds, the exhibition looks at the key subjects and patterns of her work, “like the body or anthropomorphic shapes.”   Read the full Story >>

Fujifilm has opened applications for the 2026 GFX Challenge Grant Program, offering photographers and filmmakers worldwide the opportunity to receive funding, mentorship, and access to Fujifilm’s medium-format camera system to help bring ambitious creative projects to life. Launched in 2021, the GFX Challenge Grant Program was created to support emerging and established visual storytellers working in both photography and filmmaking.
