Facing battlefield setbacks elsewhere, Russia launched a massive missile attack on Kiev, Ukraine, this week. Waves of drones and missiles struck the capital, killing and injuring civilians and damaging homes, businesses and public buildings. More than 20 people were killed and hundreds injured, notes NPR, which features images of the attack’s aftermath by photographer Anton Shtuka, who captured emergency crews searching through rubble, firefighters tackling blazes and residents surveying the destruction in neighborhoods hit by the strikes. Child safety experts are calling on UK schools to remove pictures of pupils’ faces from their websites and social media accounts because blackmailers are using them to create sexually explicit images, reports The Guardian. The Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) said an unnamed UK secondary school had recently been subjected to a blackmail attempt after criminals used the institution’s website or social media accounts to take photos of schoolchildren, which were then turned into sexually explicit images using AI. The LA-based photographer is preparing for one of the most visible stretches of her career, with work appearing simultaneously across Europe and Los Angeles. This includes a career-spanning survey at London’s National Portrait Gallery that will travel to Edinburgh’s Royal Scottish Academy, as well as exhibitions in Kassel, Germany, and Trondheim, Norway. Japanese retail analyst BCN+R noted earlier this year that DJI had a massive market share in the video camera market in 2025. But the Chinese tech company’s dominance has only strengthened so far in 2026, reports PetaPixel. DJI’s video camera market share has grown from 64.7% in 2025 to 72.5% now, a high watermark for the company, thanks largely to the new DJI Osmo Pocket 4 content creator camera.
