Industry News: GoPro Has 'Substantial Doubt' About its Survival

GoPro is coming off of what may be one of its most exciting product announcements in years, but, notes DP Review,  its most recent communication to investors and regulators casts a shadow over the launch. In it, the company says that new market forces "raise substantial doubt about the Company’s ability to continue as a going concern," citing "unprecedented increases and volatility in memory costs" that have seen price increases of up to 115%. Books: Greg Brennan Sets the Record Straight on His Kate Moss Shot

Acclaimed British celebrity photographer Greg Brennan’s new book, The Big Shot, brings together his work from over three decades, featuring images of Queen Elizabeth, Jack Nicholson, Barack Obama and Adele. The cover features what might be his most notorious photo—a 2007 shot of supermodel Kate Moss in a fur coat at the bottom of a fire exit, cigarette in hand. Art News: MFAH Announces Winner of Its New $50K Edelman Impact Award in Photography

The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston has announced that Yael Martínez is the first winner of the newly established Edelman Impact Award in Photography. Martínez, based in Guerrero, Mexico, will receive a cash prize of $50,000 for work that blends documentary and conceptual photography to  illustrates the resilience of Mexican communities.
