The European Commission has announced preliminary findings that Instagram and Facebook are in breach of the Digital Services Act (DSA) for "failing to diligently identify, assess and mitigate the risks of minors under 13 years old accessing their services.” Though the platforms say children under 13 cannot set up an Instagram or Facebook account, minors can easily circumvent the safety measures Meta has put in place to stop them, the EU charges. Following last fall’s “Man Ray: When Objects Dream” at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, a slew of new exhibitions are popping up focusing on the enduring popularity of camera-less photography, notes Artsy. “By removing or altering the camera, [artists] engage photography at its most elemental—light, time, surface—while also questioning ideas of authorship, representation, and control,” says Natasha Egan, Director of the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago, whose current exhibition, “MoCP at Fifty: Collecting Through the Decades,” features photograms by artist Bertha E.
