Social News: Elon Musk Teases 'Manipulated Media' Label on X Images

After the Grok chatbot scandal over sexualized AI images of women that appeared on X, the platform’s owner, billionaire Elon Musk, has  announced a new feature to label edited images as “manipulated media.” So far, noted TechCrunch, the only details on the new feature come from a cryptic X post from Elon Musk saying, “Edited visuals warning.” The company has not clarified whether the label would cover images that have been edited using traditional tools, like Adobe’s Photoshop. Meanwhile, X’s French headquarters were recently raided by prosecutors investing “cyber crimes” including child abuse images and sexually explicit deepfakes.   Read the full Story >>
