The 14th edition of the PhMuseum Photography Grant is now welcoming submissions. The grant offers €10,000 (about $12,000) in cash prizes. Recipients will also have the chance to have their work considered for exhibition opportunities at several venues across Europe and exposure online and in print, notes th PHMuseum. A vast majority of Vimeo’s staff has been let go after the video-sharing platform’s acquisition by private equity firm Bending Spoons, reports PetaPixel, which calls the news “highly predictable,” given the firm’s acquisition strategy. In 2023, Bending Spoons acquired Filmic and shortly thereafter fired all 22 members of the original team — including the company’s founder and CEO. In July 2024 the company bought WeTransfer and later fired 75% of the company’s staff. Bending Spoons acquired Vimeo last September for $1.38 billion. Read the full Story >>
