Photographers seeking an interesting portrait subject don’t have to look far: Many have turned the camera on themselves over the the decades, notes Collateral, which features self-portraits from a number of greats, including Man Ray, Cindy Sherman, Francesco Woodman, Vivian Maier, Nan Goldin, Helmut Newton and Robert Mapplethorpe. Tech News: The Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV Is Not Discontinued in the US

Earlier this month, reports out of Japan indicated that the OM-D E-M10 Mark IV — the last of the major camera lines that still bears the Olympus name instead of OM System — was discontinued. That led some to lament the loss of Taylor Swift’s favorite camera, but, notes PetaPixel, OM System says this is Japan-specific and that there are no current plans to stop making the camera available in the United States. “Photo theft and photo manipulation are everywhere. They are not new, but the introduction of AI has raised the problem to a whole new level. Helping photographers keep control of their images and helping the audience understand what has been manipulated – and what has not – has become an urgent need,” notes the National Press Photographers Association, which has been testing the implementation of the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA) standard in order to develop industry-wide standards in content authenticity.   Read the full Story >>
