Along with your next Starbucks latte you can get a retro-styled compact camera with dual sensors and trendy filters for the equivalent of $30, but, notes Amateur Photography, you’ll have to go to China to get one. The Starbucks Retro Digital Camera was recently released in China for the start of the 2025 holiday season, costing only 198 yuan – about $28. The photography market is a small sector of the overall art market, but it’s always interesting to note broad trends in sales. Art News reports that the two biggest auction houses recently released their 2025 numbers, showing a 17 percent sales jump at Sotheby’s and a nearly 7 percent rise at Christie’s.
