Nikon’s newly announced version 5.30 update for the Z9 flagship full-frame mirrorless camera comes four years after the model’s launch, notes DP Review. The update promises a "significant improvement" to the autofocus system's performance when tracking fast-moving subjects, alongside additional features, Canon says. The company is also now letting you use the subject detection with the single point and "dynamic AF" autofocus selection point types, giving you more flexibility in how you select which subject you want to focus on. Gymnast Simone Biles has joined the ranks of athletes picking up cameras to photograph sporting events: ESPN notes that Biles, an eleven-time Olympic medalist, appeared as a credentialed photographer during the Sunday Night Football game between the Chicago Bears and San Francisco 49ers. Biles's husband, Jonathan Owens, is a safety for Chicago. Biles wore an NFL media vest and carried around a Sony camera while taking photos. She explained the work as "just a little side gig" while hugging 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey's wife, Olivia Culpo, on the field pregame. Read the full Story >>
