Tech News: DJI Will Be Banned in the US if the Government Does Nothing

DJI is facing an outright ban in the United States if an audit mandated by the National Defense Authorization Act doesn’t take place,  notes PetaPixel. DJI breathed a sigh of relief last December when the Countering CCP Drones Act was not included in the FY25 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) passed by the US Congress. Instead the NDAA mandated that a “risk assessment” audit of DJI be conducted. Art News: Filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos Leans Into Photography

Yorgos Lanthimos, the filmmaker known for stylized, pitch-black comedies starring Emma Stone (his latest is Bugonia) has recently branched out to a new venture: the photo book. “The Greek auteur has developed a passion for still photography, which he now uses to compliment and contrast his film work. He estimates that he’s amassed around 70 or 80 cameras,” notes Vanity Fair. Tech News: Canon Adds a 32-Megapixel Sensor and 7K Video to the New EOS R6 Mark III

The newly announced EOS R6 Mark III is Canon’s latest jack-of-all-trades full-frame mirrorless model for both stills and video, notes The Verge. The new camera has a 32.5-megapixel sensor, improved autofocus, up to 7K video recording, and a new dual-card arrangement with a faster CFexpress Type B slot.
