Ever since Nikon’s acquisition of RED in March of last year, the filmmaking and photography worlds have been wondering what would develop. Now, notes DIY Photography, RED Digital Cinema has announced Nikon Z-mount versions of both the RED Komodo-X and RED V-Raptor [X] cinema cameras. The move gives filmmakers access to Nikon’s library of lenses and unlocks new camera features that aren’t available on other mount options, adds PetaPixel. The RED Komodo-X Z-mount camera is available to pre-order now, starting at $6,995. The RED V-Raptor [X] Z-mount camera starts at $29,995.

Ozzy Osbourne is being sued for copyright infringement for sharing some photos of himself on social media, notes Vice. Rock photographer Neil Zlozower claims in a lawsuit filed in federal court that Osbourne illegally shared his images of the rocker on social media, according to a Billboard report. While celebrities often seem confused by the fact, U.S. copyright law “is quite straightforward when it comes to intellectual property and clearly states that the person who 'authored' a work is the copyright owner," adds PetaPixel.

A decade ago, Dutch photographer and filmmaker Robin de Puy embarked on an 8,000-mile motorcycle journey across the United States. The result is her newest book, American, which Creative boom calls “a powerful counternarrative to oversimplified views” of what it means to be American today. "I noticed that the perception of America became increasingly negative, which was a great contrast to my connections," de Puy explains. "I partly understand this; I get the frustration and outrage regarding, for instance, the politics in America.”
