A Chinese national has been arrested for flying a drone over and taking photos of a U.S. Space Force base on the same day as the launch of a SpaceX rocket carrying a spy satellite for the federal government. Yinpiao Zhou, a 39-year-old U.S. permanent resident who lives in Brentwood, California, was arrested at San Francisco International Airport as he waited to board a flight back to China, notes PetaPixel. The incident comes a few months after the U.S. Justice Department charged a different Chinese national under the Espionage Act for taking photos of a U.S. shipyard where nuclear submarines are built.

American photographer Larry Fink died last year at age of 82, having spent decades shunning the spotlight even as his work “thrillingly exposed his country’s shadowy power dynamics,” as Wallpaper puts it. Now a new retrospective book, Larry Fink: Hands On / A Passionate Life of Looking (powerHouse) honors the photographer. Daniel Power, who worked with Fink on the book and completed it after the photographer’s death, has described it as “the most perfect book I have ever done,” notes Wallpaper.

Despite posting record profits quarter after quarter, Adobe’s stock fell hard this month as investors appeared uncertain that the company’s AI strategy will result in future revenue, notes PetaPixel. “Wall Street isn’t clear how much money the tools end up making the company at a time when Adobe is putting adoption over monetization at the outset and up against various offerings from established rivals and beyond,” explains MarketWatch. Adobe’s stock fell nearly 15 percent over five days recently.

Italian photographer Paolo Della Rocca is the top prize winner of the 2024 Nature Photographer of the Year contest for a capturing what many consider the “holy grail” of wildlife photography—snow leopards. Della Rocca photographed two snow leopards in the Spita Valley of northern India. “This image was anything but easy to obtain. I waited over six hours at the edge of a canyon as the two siblings rested in a cave. The cold—reaching -25 degrees and intensified by a snowstorm—seeped into my bones,” the photographer says.
