The Sony World Photography Awards has come under scrutiny for its age limit policies within its Student award category, notes Fstoppers. The contest’s rules exclude photography students over the age of 30 from entering. “The crux of the issue is that not all students are recent high school graduates or young adults starting their academic journeys. It is common for creatives of all types to change careers and pursue their passions after trying to fit into working in a more traditional career,” notes writer Kim Simpson.

Taylor Swift is Time’s Person of the Year, and the magazine has published a behind-the-scenes look at the cover shoot of the cultural icon by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. “First of all, we went to see The Eras Tour movie—it's just incredible. And then we did a deep dive into all her different personifications and the way she expressed her feelings over the years of her career to form a concept. We were mostly struck by watching her perform her lyrics,” says van Lamsweerde.
