Tamron has officially unveiled its 150-500mm f/5-6.7 Di III VC VXD (Model A057) lens for the Nikon Z-mount system—including full-frame Nikon Z series mirrorless cameras. Despite the extensive zoom range, the full-frame telephoto lens is relatively small when not zoomed, notes PetaPixel—it is 212.3 millimeters (8.4 inches) long at its shortest and weighs 1,720 grams (60.7 ounces) without its detachable tripod mount attached. The lens uses Tamron’s VXD linear motor autofocus mechanism, promising swift and precise movement and responsive autofocus performance, adds PP.

Once, you had to go to specialized websites to create AI art from language prompts, but no longer, notes Engadget: Google has announced that users who have opted-in for its Search Generative Experience (SGE) will be able to create AI images directly from the standard Search bar. Google’s implementation of generative AI is an extension of its vision of a web search future that is SGE, adds PetaPixel. Instead of just generating responses to what someone would be searching for, it will now do that with images and not just text.

In 1940s Nazi-occupied Paris, a Polish refugee knocked urgently at the door of French photographer Robert Doisneau. The refugee needed fake papers and he’d heard that Doisneau was the man for the job. Such work was one of many “acts of resistance” by Doisneau documented in a new exhibition at the Musée de la Résistance Nationale in Champigny-sur-Marne, near Paris. Despite a 1940 law banning outside photography in the French capital, Doisneaau also quietly chronicled daily life in Nazi-occupied Paris, notes France 24.
