California photographer Chelsea Grimm has vanished while on a cross-country road trip to document “the lost and forgotten people” of the U.S., notes PetaPixel. The 32-year-old photographer was reported missing on October 4 after her parents were unable to reach her days after she told them she planned to go camping in Arizona and may not have phone service. AZ Familyreports that her white Ford Focus SUV was found by police one day later, on October 5, on Forest Service Road, after it was reported as being suspicious.

Epson International Pano Award Winners Friday October 20, 2023
José D. Riquelme of Murcia, Spain, is the overall winner of the 2023 Epson Pano Awards for his image “The Bridge,” an epic aerial view of a bridge stretching across an Icelandic landscape. "After over a dozen visits to Iceland, exploring its majestic lands, during a rest stop, I decided to change my perspective and launch my drone. To my amazement, I captured this incredible image,” he notes. This year’s contest brought in 4,414 entries from 1,104 professional and amateur photographers in 102 countries.

Google has announced that it will defend users of generative artificial-intelligence systems in its Google Cloud and Workspace platforms if they are accused of intellectual property violations, reports Reuters. In doing so, the company joins Microsoft, Adobe and other tech companies that have made similar pledges. Prominent writers, illustrators and other copyright owners have said in several lawsuits that both the use of their work to train the AI systems and the content the systems create violate their rights.
