Tech News: Benro CyanBird Is a Carbon Fiber Tripod That Costs Under $200

Benro’s newly announced CyanBird carbon fiber travel tripod takes some noticeable inspiration from the Peak Design Travel Tripod, but at a significantly lower price point. notes DIY Photography. The CyanBird features blue anodised aluminium components with satin aluminium leg lock levers. The legs are arched shape, allowing them to fold up to a diameter of only 6cm. Exhibitions: The Fashion Photography of Robert Mapplethorpe

A new online exhibition at the Xavier Hufkens Gallery looks at how Robert Mapplethorpe deployed clothing in his photographs—often, notes AnOther, to erotic effect. Mapplethorpe was introduced to fashion photography by the retailer Dianne Benson, who commissioned him to produce advertisement for her SoHo boutique in 1980.
