Less than two months after performing a much talked-about set at Coachella, the musical artist Frank Ocean has unveiled a new project, notes W magazine: a book of photography. Titled Mutations, the 48-page booklet is being published and sold through the musician’s independent luxury company, Homer, which describes the publication as a “retrospective of artwork from October 19 to December 22, 2022.” The images range from self-portraits to shots of human-robot hybrids, adds Dazed.

The use of trail cameras for recreational use on state lands in Delaware has been banned. The decision to prohibit trail cams in state parks, state forests and state wildlife areas was made recently by the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control and the Delaware Department of Agriculture. The use of trail cameras by hunters has increased substantially in recent years, leading to complaints and worries about harm to vegetation. Five other states have banned the use of trail cameras on public lands, and several others are apparently considering a similar ban, notes DIY Photography.

Six years ago, photojournalist Greta Rico’s cousin Fernanda was found dead in a garbage bag on a street in Mexico. She’d been shot three times and there were signs of sexual violence. As her family waited for answers they never got, they considered who would take care of Fernanda’s 3-year-old daughter, Nicole. With the child’s father absent, her aunt Siomara, 27, stepped in, notes CNN. “She never wanted to be a mom,” says Rico, who has been documenting Siomara’s story for a project called “Substitute Mother.”

Is this the future of product photography? Google has announced that it is launching Product Studio, a new tool that lets merchants easily create product imagery using generative AI. Brands will be able to create new imagery within Merchant Center Next, Google’s platform for businesses, to manage how their products show up on the platform, notes TechCrunch. Google says Product Studio gives merchants the ability to create product imagery for free and get more value from the images they already have.
