In an interview with PhotoTrend, Sigma CEO Kazuto Yamaki says that the company has no plans to develop new Micro Four Thirds lenses, noting that “demand for this format is decreasing very sharply.” This is the first manufacturer to publicly come out and abandon the Micro Four Thirds format that Panasonic and OM System both appear to be pushing with vigor, notes DIY Photography. The news doesn’t come as much of a surprise, given that Sigma hasn’t actually developed MFT lenses before—only APS-C lenses with MFT mounts.

Andrew and Mary Pilara are selling their celebrated photography collection in preparation for closing their San Francisco exhibition site, Pier 24 Photography, in July 2025. The Pilaras began their collecting journey in 2003 and since then have assembled approximately 4,000 works, making theirs one of the world’s most comprehensive photography collections. A large quantity of pieces will be auctioned at Sotheby’s in a series of sales starting in May, notes Penta. The auction is expected to bring in more than $15 million in total.

Bruce Willis’ wife, Emma Heming Willis, has called on paparazzi to keep their distance and stop yelling at the Die Hardstar when they see him in public. Heming Willis made the plea in a video shared on her Instagram page, notes CNN. Recounting a recent incident in which photographers attempted to speak to the ailing actor as he made a rare public appearance to meet friends for coffee in Santa Monica, she noted how “difficult and stressful it can be to get someone out into the world and to navigate them safely.” Willis suffers from a form of dementia.
