The British Journal of Photography is spotlighting its annual Ones to Watch list of emerging image makers, including Zhong Lin, who is known as a fashion photographer but resists being bound to the genre. Born in Malaysia to an English-educated father and Chinese-educated mother, Zhong was raised on Hollywood movies, Japanese manga, Indian music, and Malaysian food—diverse cultures that, she says, “inspire my work deeply.” Her striking images have been seen in GQ China, Marie Claire, i-D and Vogue Italia.
