Spring is here, along with spring flowers, and what better time to view the winners of the 2022 Royal Horticultural Society Photographic competition? The contest celebrates the beauty of gardens and wildlife. The winner of the Plants category and overall adult contest was Sanjay Jani for his sunset image of crocuses blooming alongside a concrete office wall in Iowa City, Iowa. Trending: 60 Percent of NY Freelancers Report Not Being Paid for Work Performed

National Press Photographers Association   Monday May 23, 2022

A survey by the Authors Guild, Freelancers Union, Graphic Artist Guild, American Society of Media Photographers, National Press Photographers Association, American Photographic Artists, and National Writers Union found that 62 percent of freelance workers based in New York had lost wages at least once in their career over an employer’s refusal to pay them, notes the National Press Photographers Association. It also found that 51 percent of those who had lost income to nonpayment reported losing more than $1,000, and 22 percent reported losing more than $5,000.   Read the full Story >>
