Madonna has embraced the blockchain, notes The New York Times. Previously, the pop superstar paid 180 ether (about $560,000 at the time) for an NFT of a tattooed ape from the Bored Ape Yacht Club. Now she has released her own NFT series, titled “Mother of Creation” — three digitally rendered videos that recast her as a nude woman giving birth to flora, fauna and technology. The artworks are the result of a yearlong collaboration with Mike Winkelmann, the digital artist known as Beeple, who got the whole NFT craze going by selling one for $69 million in 2021. We’re basking in it with Photoville Festival 2022’s return to summer time — a first since 2012.” So declares the organization that made its mark by staging a photo festival inside cargo containers in Brooklyn. The 2022 edition (June 4 to 26) will feature more than 60 outdoor exhibitions in 20 locations across all five New York boroughs. Panasonic’s newly announced Lumix G Leica DG Summilux 9mm f/1.7 ASPH lens for Micro Four Thirds is manufactured under Leica’s standards, which the company says makes it suitable for both pros and high-end amateurs, notes PetaPixel. The new 9mm f/1.7 ASPH has a 35mm equivalent focal length to 18mm, a short focusing distance of 3.7 inches, and a maximum magnification ratio of 0.25x (a 35mm equivalent of 0.5x).
