Tech News: Nikon's F Mount Legacy Becomes Increasingly Irrelevant With the Death of 7 Lenses

The demise of Nikon’s DSLR product line, along with the F mount lens system that Nikon has been using for over 60 years, was pretty much inevitable with the company’s transition to mirrorless. The company has killed off DSLRs and some of the F mount lenses, and now 7 more have been done away with, including the 300mm f/4D AF-S, reports DIY Photography. In his portrayals of circus performers, German photographer August Sander chose not to focus on acrobatic feats or stunning performances. Instead, notes Chicago’s Art Institute in a profile of the famed artist, Sander presented the circus workers as citizens, shown in their homes and with families of their own choosing. Sander’s circus photographs, taken from 1926 to 1932, are from “People of the Twentieth Century," his decades-long project depicting hundreds of his  countrymen according to social strata and occupation.    Read the full Story >>
