The YouTube-to-prestige-horror pipeline is looking very strong, notes TechCrunch. Taking the number one spot at the box office this weekend was Backrooms,” a feature film expansion of Kane Parsons’ series of YouTube videos featuring eerie found footage of a mysterious office space that defies physics. The movie made $38 million on Friday, and was expected to bring in a total of $80 million to $90 million over the weekend alone. Books: New York City Drenched in Color by Harry Gruyaert

Born in Belgium in 1941, Harry Gruyaert was one of the first European photographers to take advantage of color, following in the footsteps of US pioneers including William Eggleston and Stephen Shore. Budapest, Hungary-based camera company Dora Goodman has announced the closure of its shop after years of niche production and experimental design work. Dora Goodman built a following around handmade medium format cameras, modular systems, and experimental accessories aimed at photographers who wanted to build, modify, or rethink traditional camera setups.
