Processing thousands of photos on a computer can be a cumbersome task, especially when the task at hand is tedious and unimaginative. But a recent update to Claude, Anthropic’s AI assistant, will allow the AI to complete such tasks on the user’s computer. “What’s eye-catching about Claude’s pitch is that the user doesn’t even need to be in the same room as their computer,” notes PetaPixel. A movie biopic about Jim Marshall, who has been called the “godfather of rock ‘n’ roll photography,” is in the works, notes Deadline. Filmmakers Jason Noto (Beyond the Night) and Tim Cronin (The Things We Carry) in collaboration with the Jim Marshall Estate, are developing the narrative feature. The movie is expected to explore the birth of rock-and-roll and the rise of the counterculture through Marshall’s lens. The National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., has announced the acquisition of nearly 600 works to its permanent collection, spanning from the 17th century to today. The acquisitions, made during the second half of 2025, show some of the museum’s current priorities in terms of shoring up its holdings, including early photography and recent large-scale works, notes Art News.
