Drone maker DJI has filed an appeal challenging a recent federal court decision that upheld the Department of Defense’s designation of the drone maker as a “Chinese Military Company.” The Washington, D.C. District Court ruled on September 26 that DJI would remain on the Pentagon’s Section 1260H list, even as Judge Paul Friedman explicitly rejected the majority of the Defense Department’s claims about the world’s largest drone manufacturer, notes Drone XL. Running until November 11 at Milan, Italy’s 10-Corso-Como Gallery is the exhibition “Atlas,” the first-ever solo show for British-born fashion photographer Glen Luchford. “With a career spanning 30 years, his work has transgressed many visual binaries,” notes Dazed, which calls the exhibition a “visual orgy of photography.” Luchford’s work, from his teenage depictions of Brighton’s skateboarders to his Hitchcockian-lit 90s Prada campaign, is underpinned by a marriage between the cinematic and the subcultural, adds Dazed.

MacArthur Foundation Wednesday October 15, 2025
The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation has announced the recipients of its 2025 fellowships, popularly know as “genius grants,” which come with an $800,000 no-strings-attached stipend. Among the 22 grantees across a broad spectrum of the arts and sciences is photographer Matt Black, whose work, notes the foundation, chronicles people and landscapes in marginalized communities in the US. President Trump isn’t happy about they way he looks on the cover of Time magazine, which has an article about his role in helping to bring about a ceasefire in the Gaza conflict. “Time Magazine wrote a relatively good story about me, but the picture may be the Worst of All Time. They ‘disappeared’ my hair,” he complained on social media. The low-angle image shows Trump’s thinning hair backlit by the sun, which blends in with his blond hair.
