Sotheby’s and Pace Gallery are currently negotiating over a deal that would see the auction house make a significant investment in the mega-gallery—a partnership that, notes Art News, could be a significant new model for the sluggish global art market. “With Pace as a strategic partner Sotheby’s could ramp up revenue from private sales and gain a broader insight into estates coming to market, while Pace collectors could get access to preferred rates with Sotheby’s art lending business Sotheby’s Financial Services,” notes AN.

Photographer Simon Withyman is the top winner of the 2025 British Wildlife Photography Awards for his image “Urban Explorer”—a shot of a fox patrolling a byway in Bristol, UK. “This streetwise fox was a successful mother and had a family of young mouths to feed,” notes Withyman. “I wanted to capture a creative environment portrait as she went about her daily routine. I was instantly drawn to the interesting perspective effect of these railings and wanted to showcase some beauty in this everyday urban scene.”
