Launched this year, the Gordon Parks Foundation Legacy Acquisition Fund  awards $25,000 annually to a mid- or late-career artist whose work is connected to Gordon Parks’s life and legacy and has likewise left an enduring mark. For its inaugural year, the Foundation has selected two photographers whose careers are steeped in advocacy and human connection: Mikki Ferrill and LeRoy Henderson. Industry News: Western Digital and SanDisk Separate Into Independent Companies

Western Digital acquired SanDisk in 2015 for $16 billion, but that marriage is coming to an end, notes PetaPixel: Western Digital is slated to spin off SanDisk as an independent company shortly, as part of a plan announced as far back as 2023. WD and SanDisk will be wholly separate and have different leadership teams: Western Digital’s current CEO, David Goeckeler, will become SanDisk’s new CEO, while the current Executive Vice President, Global Operations at Western Digital, Irving Tan, will become CEO at the HDD-focused company.
