The Justice Department is accusing TikTok of collecting information about how US users view divisive social issues like gun control, abortion and religion, reports Associated Press. Government lawyers say TikTok employees used an internal web-suite system called Lark to send sensitive data about US users to its Beijing-based parent company ByteDance. In April, President Joe Biden signed into law a bill forcing TikTok to divest from ByteDance or face a nationwide ban in the US. TikTok has sued the US government to block the law.

Brazilian surfer Gabriel Medina scored a mere 9.90 during a ride Monday at the Olympic competition in Tahiti. But photographer Jerome Brouillet’s image of Medina and his tethered board appearing to perform parallel levitations above the waves has been deemed a perfect 10 by the internet, notes USA Today. The photo “told a striking tale of the Olympics’ competitive spirit,” added The Washington Post. “I was not surprised about that, I was prepared,” said Brouillet, who has been shooting surfing and other sports for most of a decade.

In 2022, Hayden Garfield, then 19, noticed a bump on his shin, The Santa Barbara, California, teen was just at the verge of career of a promising career as a surf photographer, but his worries were allayed when doctors pronounced the bump benign.
