“David Goldblatt: No Ulterior Motive” is a major traveling retrospective exhibition that spans the seven decades of this acclaimed South African photographer’s career, from the 1950s to the 2010s, drawn from the collections of the Yale University Art Gallery and the Art Institute of Chicago. (From May 23 to August 25 the exhibition of 150 works is on view at the Fundación MAPFRE in Madrid). AI stunned on the 2024 Met Gala red carpet Monday night. AI-generated images of a number of celebrities who did not attend appeared on X/Twitter, including an image of Katy Perry in a massive cream-colored floral ball gown trimmed with moss. Rhianna, who missed the event due to the flu, was shown in a large puffy circular blazer.
