Hasselblad has announced a 100MP version of its CFV digital camera back, which combines with the 907x camera to create the smallest medium format camera on the market. The CFV 100C back contains most of the camera functions, meaning the 907x is almost an adaptor plate with a shutter release button, notes DP Review: It natively accepts Hasselblad's XCD lenses, designed to match the CFV's 44 x 33mm sensor, but can also accept adaptors to mount HC/HCD lenses, V-series lenses or XPan lenses. The combo also drips with vintage style, notes PetaPixel.

TIME magazine and the American Society of Media Photographers have announced the winners of their co-produced Global Photographic Portraiture Competition, titled “The Human Element.” Over 2,200 images were submitted across five categories, with the winning images coming from photographers from 9 different countries, including Bangladesh, Poland, and Iran. UK-based Owen Harvey wins the Best in Show (Portraits in the World) award for his portrait of a Spanish matador trainee sitting at the table in his grandfather's home.

An anti-porn bill in Oklahoma is so extreme that it could even make sexting outside of a marriage a crime, notes Reason. Oklahoma Senate Bill 1976, which would make the production and viewing of consenting pornography a felony — punishable with up to 20 years in prison — is slated to be formally introduced on February 5, adds PetaPixel. The bill is “part of a wave of conservative plans targeting a very broad definition of ‘porn’—First Amendment be damned—that threatens not just ‘hardcore pornography’ but all sorts of erotic expression,” declared Reason.
