Last month’s menswear shows in Milan heralded a “return to pragmatism,” but for photographers, choice of clothes is almost always a pragmatic one. Now, reports DIY Photography, Japanese outfitter Unix Tokyo has designed a formal suit specifically with the wedding photographer in mind. The suit’s jacket is made from a four-way stretch material and has deep pockets that can comfortably fit a lens. There’s also a built-in lens cloth inside the pocket. You may simply consider the suit useless, or, like Digital Camera World, these clothes may make you very angry.

Sixty years ago, the Beatles shook the world during their first-ever trip to the U.S. A young photographer named Harry Benson made the trip across the Atlantic with them “for hard days and uproarious nights,” notes Vanity Fair. Ironically, as Benson notes in his account of the trip, he didn’t want to take part in the story that would change his career and life. At the time he was a staff photographer for the UK’s Daily Express and, as he puts it, “I considered myself a serious journalist.” Once assigned to join the Fab Four, he saw things differently.

The talent agency WME has announced a partnership with technology firm Vermillio that it hopes will protect its clients from having their likenesses misused through artificial intelligence technology. Vermillio has created a platform, Trace ID, that could insulate WME clients from thefts of their likeness and intellectual property by using A.I. technology to track images, notes The New York Times. The partnership will also look for ways to use the technology to allow clients to monetize their likeness and image themselves.

Runaway forest fires have ravaged the coastal hills of central Chile, taking scores of lives, with hundreds of people reported as missing, notes The New York Times, which features a visual report on the disaster.
