As we note at top, AI "incidents" are rising. In related news, Vice Motherboard reports that a website named after a legendary Hollywood magazine is churning out AI-generated content that is surfacing prominently in Google results and filling the web with fake celebrity photos. The website, called Motion Picture Magazine, “is full of nonsensical articles that appear to have been generated with the help of AI,” notes Motherboard, which also found AI-generated images from the site in Google searches for images of Bill Skarsgård, Pedro Pascal, Shannon Sharpe, and Natalie Zea. Motion Picture Magazine is part of a larger operation called Loaded Media, which bills itself as the “future of news.”

Virtual photography—capturing a still image within a digital game space or virtual world—has been taking off over the past few years. The Virtual Photography Awards, created by TheFourthFocus.com, celebrates the “most outstanding individual images captured by digital artists using in-game photography tools.” The winners were chosen from over 2,750 entries by a panel of photographers and industry professionals. “[P]lenty of careers have emerged from this modern strain of photography,” notes Creative Bloq.
