Police Blotter: Hunters Posed as Nature Photographers to Poach Deer

Two men have lost hunting privileges for five years and were fined $1,075 because of their involvement in an elaborate deer poaching scheme in western New York—a scheme, notes Outdoor Life, in which one of the men created a fake Facebook profile posing as a female wildlife photographer. The men, Jayson Zorda and Kevin Butler, admitted to the misdemeanor charges relating to the killing of two deer. State of the Art: Google Is Planning to Add an AI Image Generator to Bard

Google is reportedly planning to add an AI image generator to its AI chatbot Bard, The new tool should be powered by Google’s Imagen family of AI models, reports 9 t0 5 Google.  In December, Google announced Imagen 2 with “significantly improved image quality.” The ability to create “high-quality, photorealistic, high-resolution, aesthetically pleasing images” is aimed at enterprise use cases like logo generation or creating images with text overlays, adds 9 To 5 Google.   Read the full Story >>

A court in Beijing, China, has awarded copyright status to an AI-generated image, opening what one blog called "a new chapter in the murky legal waters of AI art."
