An Italian photographer captured a "one-in-a-million" lunar alignment shot that has gone viral on social media and left netizens mesmerized, notes NDTV: Turin, Italy-based photographer Valerio Minato captured the the moon perfectly aligned with the peak of Monviso, the highest mountain in the Cottian Alps, and the Basilica of Superga's dome, which is situated near Turin. In an Instagram post, Minato said that he made the picture on December 15, 2023. "Superga and Monviso had an unforgettable date with Luna," he wrote.

Instagram will be able to display HDR photographs taken with Samsung’s new AI-powered Galaxy S24 smartphones, notes The Verge. “Every photo and video you take, or view, will be shown in its full range of color and contrast, from the moment you snap the content, to the moment you post,” said Samsung’s VP of Intelligent Imaging, Dr. Hamid Sheikh, at the new line's launch. Nature Photography Contest Friday January 19, 2024
Though only in its first year, the Nature Photography Contest has already proven to be a space where excellent photography and a love for the planet come together, notes My Modern Met. Photographer Glenn Ostle wins the Photography of the Year prize, while photojournalist Alain Schroeder was named Photographer of the Year. Ostle receives €1,000 and Schroeder will choose the country in which to plant nearly 400 trees as part of the contest's collaboration with the organization One Tree Planted.
