Midjourney is considered by many to be one of the best AI image generators in terms of its range, accuracy and the realism of its output. But, notes Creative Bloq, it has been available only on the Discord social media platform, complicating both the sign-up process and actual use of the model. Now Midjourney has launched the alpha version of its own standalone website, with access open to existing users who have generated more than 10,000 images. Rivals like OpenAI's DALL-E, Adobe's Firefly and Meta's Imagine already work on dedicated sites. But Midjourney’s move is likely to shake things up.

OpenAI has confirmed what many users suspected—that the AI chatbot has become a little “apathetic,” noting that “model behavior can be unpredictable, and we're looking into fixing it." Lately, explains Mashable, users on the ChatGPT subreddit have reported instances of ChatGPT giving lackluster responses, only responding to some of the requests, and generally not being as helpful as it used to be.

International Landscape Photographer of the Year Tuesday December 26, 2023
The spectacular winners of the 2023 International Landscape Photographer of the Year contest have been announced, led by Tony Hewitt, who takes the International Landscape Photographer of the Year award for a portfolio depicting tidal areas in Australia. More than 4,000 entries were received from professional and amateur photographers around the world in this year’s competition—the 10th edition of the contest. Judges narrowed the field down to a “Top 101” and then further, to award several category prizes, notes The Atlantic.
