According to a recent news report, camera shipments are on the rise, and, notes The Phoblographer, that is largely due to the boom in camera sales in the Chinese market. The news site Newswitch notes that the value of shipments to China increased has by 33.9% to 83.9 billion Yen. In fact, in the first half of 2023, China exceeded the Americas in terms of shipment volume for many months. A significant factor in the rise of sales in China is the gradual phasing out of restrictions that kept consumers there at bay during the covid pandemic.

Despite being one of the most densely populated places in the world, Hong Kong is home to over 1,000 animal species, and boasts one third of all bird species in China. Many of these animals emerge only at night, but that doesn’t stop Hylton from seeking them out.

More than 300 photographs from the private collection of Elton John and David Furnish are due to go on display at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum next year, from May 18, 2024 to January 5, 2025. The exhibition, titled “Fragile Beauty,” will be the largest photography show the museum has staged to date, adds Artnet. It will feature work from 140 photographers spanning from the 1950s to the present, spread across eight thematic section. John began collecting photography in 1991, after becoming sober, adds Artnet.
