In a TikTok video that amassed 2.6 million views and 292,000 likes in a single day, Koermer firmly tells guests what to do and ensures everyone puts the newlyweds wishes first.

In 1984, Elbert D. Howze, a Black Vietnam War veteran who was studying photography at the University of Houston, drove about 10 minutes northwest into Houston’s Fourth Ward. There, notes The Atlantic, he wondered at the narrow streets, the tumbledown houses, and the proud community that seemed forgotten by the city: Freedmen’s Town. Soon he was back with his camera. Howze died in 2015, and his photographs are held in the Fourth Ward at the Gregory School, now restored as an African American history center.

Photographer Katarina Benzova is suing Guns ‘N’ Roses and the band’s touring team for copyright infringement and their management for sexual harassment, notes Guitar magazine. Benzova, who worked with the band as an independent contractor on and off for twelve years, alleges that Guns ‘N’ Roses “falsely claim[ed] ownership” over her photographs, leading to “widespread” infringement of her work. The lawsuit comes several weeks after Guns N’ Roses filed its own lawsuit against Benzova, alleging that she “improperly registered” her photos of the band with the Copyright Office.
